Accountant

Role

Our company is looking for an experienced Accountant to assist with all aspects of accounting including various tax reporting requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following are the related duties for this position:

Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data, including:

• Reconcile entries to balance client accounts.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and payable accounts.
• Reconcile bank, credit card and loan statements.

Assist with additional accounting services, including:

• Payroll Reporting
• Sales Tax Reporting

Assist with tax preparation for personal and business filings, including:

• Filing tax documents with state and local government entities
• Inputting data from financial records into tax return software
• Prepare individual federal and state tax returns in a paperless environment.
• Analyzing tax data submitted by the client to maximize the outcome for the client.
• Assist with elderly tax return filers such as tax document collection, proposals, invoices, and additional information as needed.

Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with the internal team to gather necessary financial information and/or missing tax documents.

Provide general administrative support, such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and organizing documents.

Build client relationships to promote service recommendations.

Any other duties as assigned.

POSITION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 2 years of proven work in a CPA firm or tax office as a Tax Preparer
• Working knowledge of UltraTax
• Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suites

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
